We left Wat Keopa and made a stop at Sikhay Market or Talat Sikhay , which is a few meters away from the temple. Aunt Kian needed to buy some candles and other materials to take to Pakse. She then informed me that she is leaving for Pakse later that night. I asked her why did she take me to the temple since there was no need to do that when she has so much to do. Aunt Kian told me she wanted me to see the sala flower since we have been talking about it for so long and since we were in the area it was a good idea to make the most of the morning.

I was tired already and Aunt Kian could see that on my face. She went into the market alone while I waited for her. It was getting really hot and humid as I stood next to Aunt Kian’s motorbike and guarding it. I did my best to kill the time by taking photos and trying not to get hit by cars and motorcycles passing by.
