A cousin in Vientiane, Laos will be taking part in a Buddhist Ordination. This is a happy occasion for all the relatives. There are a handful of aunts, uncles, and cousins that traveled all the way from the USA to take part in a joyful celebration.
The relatives have set up Kong Boun Buat and many friends and relatives have been invited to take part in the Buddhist Merit Making event.
My two aunts have been busy cooking all day. After a Baci, Sukuan Ceremony, the guests will be treated to Koy Pa, Larb, Khao Poon, Sakoo Sai Moo and other dishes.
They also made Khao Tom for the Alms Offering ceremony and Khao Pard for the guests to take home afterward.
